Seth Green
Chris Griffin on Family Guy for over 25 years and co-creator of the Emmy-winning stop-motion series Robot Chicken.
After the show
Green left Buffy during season four in 2000, by which point he was already voicing Chris Griffin on Fox’s Family Guy, a role he has held since 1999. On film he returned as Scott Evil in Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) and played the computer specialist Lyle in The Italian Job (2003).
In 2005 he and Matthew Senreich launched Robot Chicken on Adult Swim, a stop-motion sketch series made through their studio, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios. Green co-created, writes, directs and voices the show, and it has earned him three Primetime Emmy Awards and five Annie Awards. The franchise grew to include several Star Wars specials.
He voices Howard the Duck in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy films (2014, 2017 and 2023) and in the animated What If…?, and voiced Todo 360 in Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021). He made his feature directing debut with Changeland (2019), which he also wrote, starring Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin.
In May 2022 a phishing attack took several of Green’s NFTs, including a Bored Ape he had planned to feature in an animated series called White Horse Tavern. He paid 165 ETH (about $297,000 at the time) to buy it back the following month.
Lately
Green reprised Howard the Duck in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 2023) and appeared in the film Little Death (2024). On television he guest-starred on That ’90s Show (2024) and The Conners (2025) and competed on Celebrity Jeopardy! (2025).
Robot Chicken has moved from full seasons to specials. The Robot Chicken: Self-Discovery Special premiered on Adult Swim in July 2025, and the Robot Chicken Adult Swim 25th Anniversary Special was scheduled to premiere on August 30, 2026, with streaming on HBO Max the following day.
Off screen
Green has been married to actress Clare Grant since May 2010. In October 2025 he shared that the couple have a young child.
