Green Demon Insomniacs — “Life of the Party” : The Rant
Warning: Spoilerish to the amount of 10.
Finally, something fun.
I feel sorry for Lorne’s assistant. Poor Van running around like a chicken with his head cut off.
“Lorney-Tunes!” cracked me up. I’m lame like that.
One thing we learned from this episode: Thraxis blood burns your skin.
I have to be honest, I had no clue what was going on when Lorne was talking to himself in the mirror. It didn’t make any sense until the 3rd act, so I guess that’s what they wanted all along.
Knox is evil — pass it on. I’m just waiting for it.
I loved the whole idea that because Lorne hadn’t had any sleep due to W&H taking it away, that he had manifested versions of himself and could control the fang gang. There’s something very-Edlund about it, and of course, that makes sense.
The best one has to be Gunn pissing all over the building.
Poor Wes. We finally see his infatuation with Fred comeback, and it’s too late. There’s a new sheriff in town and it’s that tricky little science devil named Knox.
Fred is absolutely adorable as a drunk.
Best scene: It has to be Lorne and Devlin (aka “The Human Bean”).
Episodes with Harmony so far this season are better than episodes without her. Give us more Harm.
Worst scene: Angel and Eve behind the couch. Ewww. I didn’t need to see what I just saw.
Final Verdict: I didn’t adore it, but I liked it a lot. “Life of the Party” was cute without being stupid, and it was what I needed after that whole ghost episode last week which was almost a total snore. Effort, effort, effort people. That’s what this was. It was enjoyable.
Rating: 3 STAKES
Rant Over.
