One Chapter Ends, Another Begins...

Hey Hellhounds. Well, it’s been a great ride. For over 5 years, HMC has given you it’s little spin on all things Joss Whedon, Buffy, Angel and Firefly. We’ve had a lot of fun putting our stamp on the Whedonverse. Yeah, we were different, and yeah, we got under some folks’ skin. No one can say we weren’t different. That was the plan all along, and I think we accomplished it.This isn’t going to be one of those goodbyes that take up a whole damn page, so I’ll just get to it right quick. We want to thank all the loyal viewers who came back even when the site went down (the 3 times it did) and all the folks that contributed to HMC. We appreciate it. You were a huge part of the website.Now to the big news: For every ending, there’s a new beginning. Eric, Jon and I are off to put our spin on pop culture over at PotentiallyOffensive.com( http://www.potentiallyoffensive.com ).
We have some new writers, a new site, but the same horrible attitudes. We just started it, so there’s not a lot of content up currently, but we’re adding more every day. I hope you join us.
Google once called HMC, “Excessively Profane and Potentially Offensive”. We bragged about it for 2 1/2 years, and then named our next site after it. Good times.To finish up — Congratulations. You went to hell and survived.

OH, Hells Bells, atleast you're not dead which a lot of us (ok just me) were beginning to think with the no updates. Good luck and thanks for being our guide through hell! :sigh

Come to the new site, its very similar to what we do here anyway we will just talk about more stuff. We will soon have the message board running as well.

Can't you let someone else run HMC? Since it has been around forever, if you guys don't wanna do it anymore can't you give it to someone else. I know a few people that would be interested. I mean it has been here and it is a staple, if the you guys wanna do this new site, can't the reigns be given to someone else?

I think it would look a little odd for someone else to run HMC. For starters, it wouldn't be HMC anymore, so why do that? The forums will stay up here, so why does it matter? No one had really been reading the main page for awhile, so what's the point in continuing it by giving it to someone else? Not to mention the fact that any big Whedon news will still be posted at PO. Sometimes you have to let things go.

To add to my post below --- It's not like we haven't asked for help in the past. We never got it. Several times during the last couple years we tried to get people interested in writing for HMC, and no one (with the exception of Seven) wanted to do it. The people we kept hiring would write one article and then we'd never hear from them again. And also, if we have a story we want to double post (both on PO and HMC) then we'll post it. The site just won't be updated regularly like it used to be. There isn't a enough stories or man power to accomplish this the way we want.
