Matt: Nice camel.
Matt: So Harmony gets her own episode…whoopy.
Eric: I was suprised, it held up well, I actually like her now. I loved the episode.
Matt: You can’t help but feel sorry for her, even if she is a vampire. I thought the episode was decent.
Eric: I know….what’s with Angel? Besides being in way over his head…
Matt: What’s what with Angel?
Eric: Being such an ass.
Matt: Hasn’t he been that way all season? I don’t see much difference.
Eric: Harm was right. She was doing everything right, but getting nothing.
Matt: I think the episode was from Harm’s perspective, so from her perspective he’s an ass. That’s the only side of Angel she sees.
Eric: He said to cater the banquet and she did, with the food they eat and he was mad, if she would have did chips and dip he would have been like, “They don’t eat chips, find something they eat.”
Matt: Most likely, yes. She sees the demanding boss….not the good side of him. The rest of the gang get to see that side sometimes.
Eric: What I think is that Angel is succumming to W&H. He’s starting to act like them.
Matt: I think that’s the whole point, and probably the reason W&H gave him the job.
Eric: Right. Zero Tolerence is almost always a dumb policy.
Matt: If you can’t beat him with force, beat him by changing him into what you want.
Eric: I was so hoping that Harm would throw that girl through the wall when she commented on the unicorns.
Matt: Didn’t that seem forced? The “girl who wants her job” story?
Eric: No.
Matt: It did to me.
Eric: It makes sense, it’s a normal job thing with a W&H spin.
Matt: Out of the blue – “It was me!” “Who are you again?”
Eric: I thought it was funny. If you worked in an office enviroment you would have understood better.
Eric: I loved HArm staking her durning the meeting.
Matt: Not to get off the subject, but if Fred knows both of them (Knox and Wes) like her, why doesn’t she pick and get it over with? I think it’s just that whole “woman stringing a guy along, teasing him” thing.
Eric: No, more like she is timid and afraid, and isnt ready.
Matt: She said it was complicated, but I don’t see how complicated it is.
Eric: Plus – sweeps hello!
Matt: Yeah, there’s the real reason. Damn writers.
Eric: See the ball, go get the ball!
Matt: And let’s talk about incomprehendable stories…the ending. Spike’s excuse for not going to Europe. One word: LAME.
Eric: I really think that Spike still can’t get too far from W&H, and he made up some BS to keep it secret….or he’s scared.
Matt: No, he could go all the way to Las Vegas.
Eric: Or he phoned ahead and some french guy picked up in Buffy’s room.
Eric: Vegas isnt too far from LA.
Matt: Far enough.
Eric: Why was he going to France on a boat from LA is what I want to know.
Matt: Because as we all know, boats are easier travel for vamps.
Eric: ….but from LA?
Matt: They can hide from the lights, douchebag.
Eric: He should have took a red eye from L.A to the east coast.
Matt: Pacific to Atlantic….geography isn’t meant to be difficult.
Eric: I think they are grooming Harm to take Cordy’s place.
Matt: I don’t think so. As far as I know, Harmony is staying a recurring character.
Eric: They had her become pals with Fred.
Matt: I think Buffy and Serge are having a great time.
Matt: We’ll see. I just don’t think Harm will be in enough episodes to make you think she’s an important part of the show. Which is another reason I didn’t LOVE this episode.
Eric: She got her own episode, which unless you are in Star Trek means you are in the up and up.
Matt: Not true. Andrew got his own episode, and was never a main credit. Same for Jonathan.
Eric: Andrew and Jon were seanson villians, that counts as a major role.
Matt: I guess so.
Matt: To me, the episode was SUPPOSED to be funny, but it ended up being just chuckle-worthy.
Eric: I found it rather funny.
Matt: I loved Harmony tossing Lorne, Fred and the blood-dude in the janitor’s closet.
Matt: And is it just me, or do they tack on more and more things Gunn can do with his fixed brain? Why couldn’t we know all these things to begin with? Why, because they were made up everytime a new script came up…not from the beginning.
Eric: Yeah kinda. Hmmm how do we do this, umm we put it in Gunns head, yeah, that’s the ticket.
Matt: Exactly.
All in All
Matt: So all in all, I thought “Harm’s Way” was lacking in many areas, but still had a few laughs in it to make it a decent episode.
Eric: All in all I feel that “Harm’s Way” was a good fluff episode that I found my self laughing out loud to quite a few times, I was very happy to see Harm with her own ep.
