Iyari Limon
Guest roles across network TV and the voice and likeness of Nicole Brennan in the Dead Space video games.
After the show
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Limon moved to Los Angeles, where she began acting. She joined Buffy the Vampire Slayer in its seventh and final season as Kennedy, a Potential Slayer who became Willow’s girlfriend. She appeared in 13 episodes before the series ended in 2003.
Television guest work followed quickly. In 2004 she played Carmelita on The Drew Carey Show and Louisa Cruz on Without a Trace, and in 2005 she appeared on the Fox sitcom Quintuplets and in the film Death by Engagement. She played Monica in the 2007 film Maquillaje.
Much of her best-known post-Buffy work came in games and animation. She voiced Young Catori in the direct-to-video animated feature Turok: Son of Stone (2008). The same year she provided the voice and likeness of Nicole Brennan, the absent partner whose fate drives the story of Dead Space (2008), and she returned for Dead Space: Extraction (2009). In 2011 she voiced Clovis Galletta in Rockstar’s L.A. Noire.
Later screen credits include an episode of Jane the Virgin (2018) as Allison, Detective Jules in the found-footage comedy VHYes (2019), and a guest spot on How to Get Away with Murder (2020).
Lately
Limon has not announced any new screen projects since 2020. She has continued to meet Buffy fans in person, including at the Whispers from the Hellmouth convention in Paris in April 2024, organized by Geek’N Cheese Conventions.
Off screen
Limon came out as bisexual in a 2006 interview with AfterEllen. Her role as Kennedy is catalogued by LezWatch.TV, which tracks queer characters on television.
