Update: January 25, 2006

Bang! Bang! Baby!

Spike, Spike and more Spike…

The biggest story of the past week has been that the WB has plainly stated that they are still very interested in a Spike movie. Good news, although the comment that they’re waiting for Joss’s scheduled to free up strikes me a little odd since Whedon has stated that he is handing the movie off to Tim Minear. Good for them to keep it on the radar,

The blonde one gives us an update on the year on his official site as well. Check it out here.

Ah, fresh tales from the ‘verse featuring Spike in four colors comes as Newsarama gives us a peek at Spike: Old Wounds and the first issue of Spike vs Dracula. Gotta tell ya, the artwork if nothing else looks great on this one. Plus (spoiler alert), the issue apparently features those monster-fighting luchadores again. I really loved that episode (The Cautionary Tales of Numero Cinco), so I’m pumped about this one.

And in the offbeat category, here’s a weird little story about Spike, the knitting bird. It’s named after that Spike and um, yeah, it’s a slow news week, ok? [Click here](http://www.thecomet.net/content/comet/news/story.aspx?brand=CMTOnline&category=News&tBrand=herts24&tCategory=newscomnew&itemid=WEED17 Jan 2006 14:22:41:740), and would someone get some new Buffyverse TV stuff out there so I don’t have to report on this?

Buffy Alum News:

Michelle Trachtenberg has gone from annoying little sister to sorority girl for a remake of Black Christmas. It’s a horror story, sorority girls, etc. If you grew up watching movies in the 80s, you get the gist.

CNN does a good job recapping and providing an interview with Seth Green (Oz) about his current work. Three networks at once is actually pretty darn impressive. Looks like Seth may turn out to be the most successful of the Scoobies! Click Here.

Anthony Stewart Head will be featured in a new film called “Imagine Me and You” with Piper Perabo (whose name I love saying out loud almost as much as Natasha Kinski. It’s weird, I know, but names catch my attention). Click Here.

Finally, Julie Benz will be starring in new show for Showtime, entitled as long as it’s not called Connor, all will be well. Check it here.
